Kathryn Bycura is a Family Nurse Practitioner board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing.
Katie completed both her undergraduate and graduate educations at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. She has over ten years of experience in health care, the last eight of which as an advanced practice nurse. Her varied background includes experience in family practice, urgent care, gastroenterology and hepatology, and geriatrics. She has worked across the health care spectrum from hospitals to clinics to short-term health rehabilitation centers to home visits.
As an independent provider, she focuses her current practice on health promotion and disease prevention. Her areas of personal interest continue to be the proper diagnosis and management of chronic medical conditions, natural hormones, and weight loss and weight maintenance. She is also trained on specialty aesthetic procedures.
Katie is passionate about patient education and believes true health care cannot be provided in the industry-wide standard 15 minute visit window. She also believes true wellness can only be achieved when you look at the whole patient: body, mind, spirit, and heart.
“We are all working to be the best version of ourselves. I’m on this journey
with you, and I’m my own work in progress. I’m not just talking the talk,
but rather walking the walk along side you.”
Katie is a native Austinite and graduate from Westlake High School. She enjoys staying close to her family and friends, running, reading, cooking, and spending time with her Austin Pets Alive! rescues Bear, Finn, and Riley.
